Hey ya'll, just thought i'd write a bit about 2 short films i have in the works. The first one is a drama called A PERFECT SWIM. The film centers around a young girl who is married to a 40 something year old man who's just came back from war. He comes back worst off. He's becoming more and more distant to her as he becomes closer to younger girl staying at thier hotel.

Its a very wierd film to sum up. But shooting begins Aug. 6th.

The second short film is called 2011. It's alittle easier to summarize. It's a comedy. It's a story of a man's attempt with his friend to build a time machine to go back and save his relationship with his now ex girlfriend.

2011 is still in the writting stages but im hoping to shoot mid-october.

I'm holding callbacks for A Perfect Swim on sunday, so i'll have more to talk about then. Beltre out!

Over the weekend i went to the Landmark sunshine theater in the city to catch a midnight screening of Taxi Driver. Being a huge Taxi Driver fan i loved the idea of finally being able to see it on the big screen. I got there, Bought my tickets, walked in, asked the lonley fat man with his Watchmen messenger bag if he could make room for me and i sat down.

Taxi Driver is a dream. Its not fully understandable becuase its not fully realized. Its not an Action, or a drama, or a comedy, its simply one long emotion. The film never siezes to be amazing, from Harvey Keitels dark comic portrayal as Sport to Travis holding the gun by his head to "Late to the sky" By Jackson Browne. I saw this film for the first time when i was in 6th or 7th grade. Around that time i was begining to see the world around me, Question my parents, and Question my place in the world. Taxi Driver was there to show me i wasnt the only one.

Taxi Driver is a fantastic film, You cant even compare Taxi Driver to the trash that's released today. Taxi driver is a must see, and watching it on the big screen was a wish come true being a huge fan of Scorsese. Watch Taxi Driver, It's the Greatest New York film but also One of the Greatest Films of all time. Now i have to find a way to see Raging Bull on the big screen.
